Team members work in multi discipline integrated product teams (IPTs) on a variety of electrical subsystems and components on the interceptor. As part of the GPI team, you will contribute to the development of a new capability to the war fighter. The Chandler group performs cradle-to-grave engineering on the majority of their launch vehicles. They are working on approximately 15 separate vehicles at any given time, among them are GPI, Antares, Minotaur, Pegasus, GMD, Sentinel, and many more. Their products serve a variety of purposes including ISS (International Space Station) cargo resupply, deploying defense satellites, developing missile interceptor technology, and providing much needed target vehicles to better hone our military capability. Associate Electrical Engineer or Engineer is required to provide electrical engineering support for common hardware products at Northrop Grumman Space Systems. • The individual will be responsible for all aspects of product procurement (technical, schedule, cost). • Typical tasks include releasing formal documents with requirements flow down (specifications & statements of work) • Reviewing supplier test data, supporting supplier troubleshooting and failure analysis • Supporting in-house testing and data review, drafting common hardware test pedigrees, performing fault tree analysis • Performing electrical analysis and simulation • Processing supplier hardware changes through configuration control board • Witnessing testing and drafting test reports, supporting LV Program on hardware implementation • Providing briefings on component failures to engineering review boards, and acting as the primary point of contact for the component supplier.
