JOB DESCRIPTION FTG Builders is a non-union general contractor specializing in healthcare construction in the SF bay area and east bay. The position schedule requires candidates open to day, night and weekend work. Applicants must be able to work in a hospital setting. FTG is growing and are looking for experienced candidates for the position of carpenter. OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE • Working in a team and doing commercial construction. • Knowledgeable building infection control containments. • Must be a team player, communicate with coworkers, subs and execute tasks efficiently. RESPOSIBILITIES AND DUTIES • Work with laborers / apprentice carpenters to set, maintain, and remove containments. • Excellent metal stud framing and drywall skills required. • General high level of rough and finish carpentry skills required. • Good understanding of restroom ADA requirements required. • Technical layout and demo for self-performed, subcontractor, and vendor work. • Proficient in layout and anchoring medical equipment, imaging equipment, and working with IOR and special inspectors is required. • Loading and unloading materials, supplies, and work tools to and from trucks and the construction site. • Operation of hand tools (jackhammer, vibrator, saws, drills) • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. • Safe work practices. • Maintain a safe and clean work environment. • Must be reliable and motivated to work with a high performing team.
