Skilled Carpenter and Maintenance Technician

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Carpenter with Maintenance skills to join our team. This role requires the ability to manage multiple types of projects, ensuring work is completed within assigned budgets and timeframes. Our company provides services for a wide variety of projects, including residential developments, commercial facilities, and maintenance contracts. Candidates must be versatile, safety-conscious, and committed to high-quality workmanship. Primary Skills & Responsibilities (include but not limited to): • Carpentry: Framing, trim, cabinetry, and door installation/repair • Concrete Work: Sidewalks, slabs, curbs, and foundations • Drywall: Installation, texturing, and repair • Painting: Interior and exterior (commercial and residential) • Flooring: Installation and repair (tile, vinyl, hardwood, carpet) • Masonry: Brick, block, and stonework • Demolition: Safe removal of structures/materials • Windows & Doors: Replacement, sealing, and waterproofing • Plumbing & Electrical (maintenance level): Fixture repair, minor installs, troubleshooting • Pressure Washing & Other Maintenance Services • Project Accountability: Complete work efficiently while meeting budget and schedule expectations Qualifications: • Minimum 5 years of experience in carpentry, construction, or maintenance trades • Ability to read blueprints and follow technical specifications • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills • Must have own tools and reliable transportation • Excellent communication, time management, and teamwork skills Employment Conditions: • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States • Employment is contingent upon successfully passing E-Verify work eligibility • All new hires are subject to a background check as a condition of employment • Compliance with all California labor laws and workplace safety standards • Projects must be completed according to budget and timeframe guidelines Benefits (for eligible full-time employees): • Competitive hourly pay based on experience • Opportunities for overtime and prevailing wage projects • Consistent work with a company established in 1979 • Growth opportunities across multiple service lines Equal Opportunity Employer & Fair Chance Act Notice: James Furuli Investment Co., Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
