Coordinates with fire marshal to complete annual elevator, alarm, and fire system testing. • Prepares layouts and erects framework for structures, including walls, partitions, and cabinetwork. • Completes repairs on building components such as stairs, ramps, partitions, and cabinetry. • Performs monthly inspections of buildings, lights, fire extinguishers, and defibrillators. • Lays new flooring. • Installs toilets and sinks • Completes general furniture repairs that do not require fabrication or custom staining. • Fits and installs prefabricated window frames, door frames, weather stripping, and interior and exterior trim, and finishes hardware • Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level. • Ensures proper barricading and signage is in place when working around patrons or in other departments to maintain a safe perimeter around work areas • Maintains appropriate records on equipment, warranties, inspections, and work performed. • Provides setup and teardown of meeting and conference rooms. • Assists with minor maintenance of facilities including replacement of light fixtures, painting, and repair of plumbing fixtures. • Loads and unloads materials needed for work. • Moves equipment, materials, and furnishings as needed. • Inventories and requests equipment and supplies. • Communicates with on-site contractors. • Assists with work orders and construction projects, including build out, sanding, mudding, and painting. • Adheres to safety procedures and utilizes safety apparel as appropriate. • Maintains confidential information. • Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required. • Performs other duties as assigned.
