The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of finish carpentry experience and be capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Position Overview: We are seeking a Carpenter/Restoration Technician to join our restoration/repair team. The ideal candidate will be responsible, quick-thinking, with strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to restoring properties efficiently and professionally. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with comprehensive construction knowledge and strong craftsmanship. This role involves the repair and re-construction of structural components and fixtures in accordance with project specifications. Technicians are responsible for reading scopes, selecting appropriate materials, and executing construction tasks to restore homes and building to pre-loss condition. The role requires collaboration with project managers, estimators, and clients to deliver quality results from start to finish. This position will be on a rotating on call list for responding to property damage emergencies, including water, fire, mold, and storm-related incidents. Key Responsibilities: • Read and interpret job scopes. • Perform demolition and removal of damaged materials when necessary. • Perform rough framing (floor joists, subflooring, wall framing, rafters, trusses, roof sheathing). • Provide and maintain personal hand tools. • Install insulation and drywall and finish drywall to specifications. • Mask areas for demolition, drywall and paint, paint walls, ceilings and trim. • Install windows and doors in compliance with building codes. • Install siding and exterior trim. • Complete interior finish carpentry including cabinets, crown molding, casing, surrounds, and baseboards. • Document job progress, notes, photos, and updates in DASH system. • Install fixtures and hardware (door handles, locks, hinges, closures). • Take final project photos for documentation. • Perform additional duties as assigned. • Follow industry best practices and safety guidelines for restoration and construction. • Maintain and clean equipment to ensure operational efficiency. • Communicate effectively with team members, project managers, and clients. • Maintain accurate records of work performed and customer interactions. Qualifications • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and L&I and industry guidelines. • Ability to read and understand detailed job scopes. • Strong organizational and leadership capabilities. • Construction experience across various phases of residential and commercial projects. • High accuracy, strong attention to detail, and commitment to confidentiality. • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills. • Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills. • Experience in water, fire, or mold mitigation restoration preferred (but we are willing to train the right candidate). • IICRC certification (Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician preferred) is a plus. • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (50+ lbs). • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as needed. • Excellent customer service.
