Mechanic

OVERALL JOB DESCRIPTION: The successful candidate will be responsible for completing preventive, scheduled and unforeseen maintenance on the Coleman Oil heavy duty, and light duty vehicles. This role is also responsible for keeping and storing complete records of repairs. The candidate should be punctual, hard-working, self-motivated, and have a strong work ethic. Joining an excellent group of individuals in a very positive, hardworking, fast-paced atmosphere. Must have knowledge in Paccar, Cummins, and Detroit. Job is working in the shop or out in the yard. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Inspecting and Diagnosing • Inspect motor in operation, road test motor vehicle, and test diesel engine systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to diagnose and isolate faults. • Inspect and test mechanical units, such as engines, transmissions, axles, and brake systems, to locate faults and malfunctions • Diagnose faults or malfunctions and confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit. • Adjustments and Repairs • Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of truck and trailer systems including fuel system, air systems, tank plumbing and valves, ABS, brakes, steering and suspension, engine and drive train, emission control and exhaust, cooling and climate control, and electrical and electronic systems using hand tools and other specialized repair equipment. • Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems including chassis, frame, cab, body, engine and drive train, air brakes, steering, and fuel, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems • Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems including structural, brake and electrical systems. • Routine Maintenance • Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrication, and tune ups. • Miscellaneous • Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor. • Advise drivers on work performed, general vehicle condition and future repair requirements. • Complete reports to record problems and work performed. SKILLS REQUIRED: • CDL license • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test • Proficient with hand tools • Solid understanding of preventive maintenance procedures • Safety-conscious • Physical dexterity • Familiarity with electrical systems • Knowledge of hydraulic systems • Effective communicator • Problem solving skills • Attention to detail • Computer knowledge COMPENSATION: Salary Range: $28.00 TO $42.00 dependent on experience (eligible for overtime) BENEFITS: Health - We offer a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, long term disability and ancillary options that include accident, critical illness, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, short term disability and whole life. Mechanical Project Engineer

Requirements: EDUCATION An undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering is required. EXPERIENCE This individual will possess: • 3-5 years previous mechanical engineering experience. • Experience with AutoCAD, project scheduling, and specification writing. • Knowledge of mechanical design and hydraulic, pneumatic, and power transmission systems. • Proven ability to work in a low supervision environment while successfully meeting goals. • Previous experience managing projects in a manufacturing environment. • Excellent analytical skills. • Strong PC skills, including Windows, Word, Excel, and Access. • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and organizational skills. • Proven ability to work in teams. • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
