Manufacturing Engineer

We're seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to help us develop and commission our Pilot Production line and assembly processes. At the core, we are looking for a first-principles problem solver. The role includes collaborating with equipment suppliers, leading equipment commissioning and validation, and implementing lean manufacturing principles to drive process improvements. Description ● Commissioning and Validation: Oversee the commissioning, validation, and qualification of manufacturing equipment, ensuring all systems operate correctly and meet performance standards. ● Equipment and Process Optimization: Analyze current manufacturing processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to enhance production efficiency and product quality. ● Quality Control: Develop, implement, and monitor quality control systems to ensure equipment and processes consistently meet product specifications and regulatory requirements. ● Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, engineering, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of new processes and equipment. ● Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of processes, equipment specifications, and validation results; prepare reports on production performance and improvement initiatives. Qualifications ● Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field. ● 3 ~ 7 years of professional experience ● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to identify and implement effective solutions. ● Experience in designing and implementing production lines. ● Proficiency in defining equipment specifications and managing validation processes. ● Expertise in lean manufacturing practices and process improvement methodologies. ● Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams. ● Proven track record of managing projects and driving continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment. ● Proactive, driven, and capable of working independently in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment. ● Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and Six Sigma methodologies. Desired Experience ● Takes ownership and responsibility for current and past results. ● Takes risks, learns from mistakes, and drives to improve the performance of oneself, others, and the company. ● Experience in equipment and process controls, especially with PLCs. ● Familiarity with casting processes and design-for-manufacturing fundamentals. ● Familiarity with industrial mixing equipment and processes, including raw material conveyance. ● Material handling experience, with a focus on optimizing the movement, protection, storage, and control of materials throughout the manufacturing process. Mechanical Calibration Technician

Description: • Responsible for calibrating a variety of test instruments for one or more skill areas, such as: • Dimensional Equipment • Industrial / Mechanical Equipment • Temperature Equipment • Perform standards maintenance & checking of company standards if assigned by Lab Manager • Collect calibration data and record information on data sheets. Complete calibration certifications, including out of tolerance conditions. • Continue to be trained in all aspects of Micro Precision Calibration Services and share gained knowledge and other best practices with other team members • Observe safety precautions and quality standards in the performance of tasks and compliy with the company • Clearly communicate calibration issues and procedures with customers and coworkers on the phone, in person and through email Requirements: • Valid Driver’s License • Basic Knowledge of Mechanical and Dimensional equipment preferred • Experience in basic instrumentation and manual tools preferred • Basic mathematics understanding • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Experience in MS Word and Excel • Ability to work both independently and under the supervision of Senior Technicians • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance Training We accept applicants new to the calibration industry who are eager to learn Work Environment • Work performed in the local laboratory and at customer facilities • Up to 25% out of town, overnight travel All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment at Micro Precision without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or protected veteran status Benefits • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, along with FSA • 2 weeks of vacation and 6 days of sick time annually
