Overtime opportunities when available. • Paid Holidays, PTO accruals at 30 days. • Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Industrial Mechanical General Foreman and a strong understanding of Industrial Mechanical systems. • Be able to run several projects on one Industrial site. • Have good communication skills • Ability to work on tools when needed. • Be able to mentor Foreman’s, Journeymen, and apprentices. • Be able to read schematics and blueprints • Assist with planning of work as well as schedule and cost code reading, structure, and development, and material ordering. • Have working knowledge of Procore. • Have basic computer skills. As a Subject Matter Expert, you will contribute directly to the safety of people, assets, and the environment by ensuring compliance with the Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations (DSEAR) across a wide range of Anglian Water sites. What You'll Be Doing This is a key technical role where you'll carry out mechanical inspections, site assessments, and detailed risk evaluations within potentially explosive atmospheres. You'll lead compliance efforts, identify and support delivery of remedial work, and act as a trusted advisor across the business. Your responsibilities will include: Performing close and detailed inspections of mechanical assets in hazardous areas, following industry best practices Completing site-wide assessments to evaluate ignition risks, system integrity, and safety signage Using tools such as thermography and vibration analysis to support preventative maintenance Reviewing and updating classification reports, zone drawings, and certification documentation Producing high-quality inspection reports and risk assessments to demonstrate legal compliance Identifying remedial needs and supporting safe, compliant delivery of capital works Auditing internal teams and external contractors to ensure safe systems of work Supporting design and implementation of control measures under CDM regulations Coaching and mentoring DSEAR Technicians, Apprentices, and Competent Persons Advising on the specification and replacement of mechanical or EX-rated equipment Deputising for the DSEAR Technical Manager and collaborating with industry groups About You You're a safety-conscious mechanical professional with experience in hazardous areas and a passion for high standards. You can work autonomously, communicate effectively across disciplines, and take pride in supporting compliance and continuous improvement. To be successful in this role, you'll need: A recognised mechanical qualification (ONC/OND/NVQ3 or equivalent) CompEX certifications relevant to mechanical work (e.g. EX11, EX12, EX14) Strong working knowledge of DSEAR documentation and BS EN 60079-14 & 17 Understanding of EX protection methods such as EXh, EXc, and EXk Experience performing inspections and risk assessments in explosive environments Familiarity with thermography, vibration monitoring, and preventative maintenance tools Project leadership experience from inspection through to completion Working knowledge of Water Supply and Recycling operations Understanding of CDM regulations and process safety principles Strong risk perception and the ability to influence safe behaviours and best practices Why Join Us? Mechanical Technician (Job ID: 3849)

Naval CVN Mechanical Technician Purpose: • Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a Maintenance Technician (mechanical) who will be key support to the Carrier Engineering Maintenance Assistance Team (CEMAT). Provide training and support of preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment and systems on board U.S. Navy nuclear powered aircraft carriers in Norfolk, VA. Job Description: • Provide technical support as required to ships force for the assessment, fault isolation, repair, and final adjustment of specific items of Carrier Engineering Maintenance Assistance Team (CEMAT) systems and equipment and conduct functional checks and operational tests of those systems onboard ship. Perform on board US Naval vessels located at Newport News Shipbuilding. • Supervises others and manages one or more multiple jobs. Applies comprehensive understanding of production and processes toward completion of assignments. Responsible for interfacing with customers, managing subcontractors and ability to provide work direction to others. • Performs a variety of complicated and non-routine tasks. • Develops and uses technical documents including controlled work packages, formal work processes and procedures, test documents, reports and task or trip reports. Schedules, reports and briefs customers and senior management. • Performs duties outside of specialty in order to complete installation or work assignment. Qualifications: • Must have High School education or Trade School at least 8 years’ experience in the operation, repair, and maintenance of naval or marine propulsion hull, mechanical, or electrical systems. • In Lieu of experience associate's Degree in an appropriate discipline from an accredited college or university may be substituted for up to 2 years of technician experience. • In Lieu of experience Quantified, specialized skills such as trade qualifications, manufacturer certifications of training for shipboard related systems, equipment and components may be substituted for up to two (2) years of technician experience for each major qualification or specialized trade skill. • Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, diagrams, or other mechanical technical data pertaining to the construction and operation of naval hull, mechanical, and electrical equipment. Desired Qualifications • At least 2 years’ experience in a position of team leader or supervisor of subordinate work groups is desired. • Prefer technical/professional certifications. Travel Requirements: • Occasional Travel-Less than 10% travel • If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. (More information regarding REAL ID can be found: https://www.dhs.gov/real-id ) Physical Requirements: • Must be able to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes. The exact weight requirements will be determined by the specific job, but no less than 30 lbs • Able to work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperature environments, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions and in confined spaces. Able to perform other duties as required which may involve high heat, humidity, noise and dirty conditions, working aloft or over the sides of vessels. • May ride ships at sea for extended periods. May require wearing a respirator. • Travel may be required within and outside of the continental United States. Security Requirements: • Must obtain and maintain a Rapid-Gate Badge and Confidential Security Clearance. • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. • Must be able to pass a background security check for access to the shipyard.
