2nd Shift Maintenance Technician

Description: The Maintenance Technician will support and maintain equipment used in the manufacturing operation. The specific equipment will vary and can include die cast machines, CNC milling, X-ray, leak testers, robotics, air compressors, dryers, chillers, sensors, overhead cranes, etc. This position is responsible for maintaining all equipment to satisfy manufacturing and engineering needs. • Observe devices in operation to locate root cause of problem • Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments • Repair and/or replace defective parts; testing of device to observe performance; test for electrical and hydraulic circuitry and mechanical systems; order supplies and repair items as necessary • Support continuous improvement of the PM work instructions; adding, removing, defining these instructions and express improvements suggested to the Maintenance Manager • Engage in proactive maintenance activities that include repairing air leaks, oil leaks, replacing components, continuous improvement activities, project work, and minor repairs to equipment • Troubleshoot and repair PLC problems Requirements: • Minimum 2 years' related experience in Die Casting and CNC Machining operations • Experience in manufacturing maintenance preferred • Electrical background plus mechanical troubleshooting ability • Knowledge of UBE or Buhler Prince Die Cast machines; hydraulic systems; stackmelter functions and operations; overhead cranes; plant air systems; hot oil heating units; Rimrock sprayers/ladles mechanical functions and controls; Fanuc and ABB robots programs, manipulation, maintenance, and troubleshooting • Ability to stand, bend, and stoop for long periods of time • Ability to work in high temperature setting on a regular basis • Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects up to 55 pounds regularly • Ability to read, write, perform basic math calculations, and complete visual inspections Aludyne is an equal employment opportunity employer such that all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, age, or other legally protected status.
