This role focuses on the design and development of industrial projects, from concept through production. You’ll collaborate closely with project managers, fabricators, and clients to deliver innovative, efficient, and precise designs that meet industry standards. Key Responsibilities: • Design, model, and detail sheet metal components and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks. • Translate project requirements into accurate 3D models and 2D fabrication drawings. • Work with project managers and clients to refine design concepts and ensure feasibility. • Optimize designs for manufacturability, durability, and cost-efficiency. • Conduct tolerance, stress, and fit checks for sheet metal assemblies. • Collaborate with production teams to support prototyping and resolve design challenges. • Maintain design documentation and manage revisions throughout the project lifecycle. • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety codes, and company quality guidelines. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). • Proven experience designing with Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks in an industrial setting. • Strong background in sheet metal design and fabrication processes. • Ability to create detailed drawings and bill of materials (BOMs). • Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills. • Knowledge of manufacturing standards, materials, and tolerances.
