Welder Mechanical Assistant

Overview Express Employment is actively recruiting an experienced Welder to join a Grand Junction construction company's team. The ideal candidate will have a background in various welding techniques and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role is essential in ensuring quality and integrity through precise welding and fabrication processes. Candidates with general mechanical knowledge, and ability to work on various machinery will be highly regarded. Duties • Fabricate and weld components into sub-assemblies and final assemblies from prints and verbal descriptions. • Review all drawings for completeness, necessities, and understanding before beginning fabrication assignment. • Request materials needed for fabrication assignment (plate steel, flat bar, expanded metal etc.), and shop supplies (tools, welding supplies, gas, and misc. supplies). • Perform inspections on equipment, parts and products produced to ensure compliance to prints and verbal direction and quality requirements. • Experience with machining, soldering, plasma cutting, rigging, and operating press brake machines is a plus. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
