JOB DESCRIPTION This position will join our team of mechanical engineers. The engineer will be responsible for design and drafting of at least one of CSI Divisions 21-23, preference for candidates who are proficient in multiple disciplines or are willing to become proficient in multiple disciplines. Designers may be able to support the drafting efforts, but the engineer needs to be able to complete their own designs in Revit. The engineer will also need to do fixture and equipment selections, communicate with manufacturers and reps, edit specifications, complete construction observations, and other tasks appropriate to the person’s training. The engineer will have to be capable of both giving direction and taking direction depending on each project’s needs. Our team is very collaborative internally between design disciplines and with our clients. This position will need to have strong communication skills in writing, in person, and on video conferencing. HDR is looking for a Mechanical BIM Specialist to join our Building Engineering Services team in Denver, Colorado. Our team is looking for a candidate to meet the demands of our client base including Science and Technology, Mission Critical and Commercial projects. We are actively seeking candidates with experience within the mission critical environment. This individual should also have a desire to mentor and train younger mechanical designers. The Mechanical BIM Specialist will be responsible for leading the creation of construction documents along with a fully coordinated BIM model from start to finish. This will include coordinating and working closely with clients, project managers, architects, other engineering disciplines, contractors, and all other team members. They will be responsible for developing construction documents and BIM Models. This would be communicated in advance to give adequate coordination time with project work and personal life.
