Masonry Worker

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Masonry Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and construction, with the ability to work on various projects including residential and commercial buildings. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to quality workmanship. Duties • Construct and repair structures made of brick, block, stone, or other materials. • Perform concrete forming, finishing, and restoration tasks as needed. • Install rebar and execute hardscape projects including patios and walkways. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate project execution. • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in various masonry tasks. • Assist in renovation projects that may involve plastering, stucco application, or tile laying. • Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry, roofing, and metal stud framing to complete projects efficiently. • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols on the construction site. Skills • Proficient in masonry techniques including bricklaying and stone setting. • Experience with concrete forming, finishing, caulking, and restoration processes. • Familiarity with heavy equipment operation related to masonry work. • Strong understanding of construction estimating and project management principles. • Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately for effective project execution. • Knowledge of carpentry skills including frame carpentry and trim carpentry is a plus. • Welding experience is beneficial for specific masonry applications. • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site efficiently.
