The Construction Helper performs many tasks that require physical labor on construction sites. The Helper mainly assists the construction craft worker or electrician. They may carry tools and materials or help set up equipment. They are able to perform a wide range of tasks varying in complexity from very easy to extremely difficult and hazardous. KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES - CORE • Supports all aspects of the company's safety culture and creates awareness by demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment through individual actions and mentoring others. • Coordinate technology related design and construction efforts that meet the constructability, quality, financial and technical standards. • Review and Participation of outgoing RFP's to subcontractors and supplier in the Pre- Con Process • Validate Subcontracting and Supply Scope and Partners with AMSYS Pre-Con Development Team in advance of final procurement, including Scope Leveling, contract negotiations, and relationship management. • Management of change orders reviews and bid pricing with the Project Engineer and subcontractor team. • Management of Subcontractors and Suppliers including communication, date tracking, scheduling, and reports. • Coordination with BTD for all scopes of work and scheduling - includes walks with jobsite teams, reporting, and meetings. • Provide technical expertise related to design assist, installation, and network integration of complete and related systems. • Correspondence with Subs, Suppliers, and BTD, for Coordination, Problem Resolution, etc. • Work with phased teams to create technology specific scopes of work and responsibility matrices tailored to individual projects. • Review quantity takeoffs and obtain vendor & trade partner pricing to compile complete & accurate budgets or hard bid proposals to make sure all costs are within contract scope requirements with PM's. • Manage overall budgets, costs and projections related to assigned projects with PM Input per project section and per the Responsibility Matrix. • Assist with the development, dissemination, accountability and discipline of safety standards with the Union personnel and current OSHA safety standards. • Lead, coach and motivate team members in a proactive manner, consistent with AMSYS' FIT policy. • Support the team for project delivery to achieve project financial, quality and performance objectives. • Participate in companywide communication programs and strategy sessions to enhance the company's ability to effectively market, sell and deliver technology related services. • As part of the project master schedule develops with Onsite General Contractor, making sure we are managing a project plan & schedule to identify tasks, resources and timing to achieve project objectives (scope, schedule, cost, quality) and working with the GC to incorporate into their scheduling. • Track and report progress on the achievement of project milestone(s) with team members, stakeholders and team leaders. • Ensure that all project documents are properly managed and archived upon project completion.
