Concrete Block Plant Supervisor

Pay: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour Job description: Job Title: Block Plant Supervisor Location: Homosassa, Florida Shifts: • 1st Shift: 6:00 AM - Finished (3-6pm) Salary: $25-26 per hour Company Overview: This position is for a leading construction materials manufacturer. We are seeking a supervisor on first and second shift in the block plant section of the facility. We are looking for individuals with leadership skills who can manage a team and ensure production standards are met. Job Summary: The Block Plant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the block production team on their respective shifts. The role includes supervising production activities, conducting machinery inspections, managing product flow, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and communicating with management regarding any issues that arise. Experience in a block or concrete manufacturing environment is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidates. Key Responsibilities: • Supervise and lead the block production team during the assigned shift. • Conduct a thorough walk-through of the plant at the beginning of each shift to inspect machinery and equipment. • Complete and sign off on equipment inspection checklists to ensure everything is up to standards. • Monitor and coordinate production activities, ensuring the correct products are produced according to schedule. • Communicate any production issues or equipment malfunctions to upper management. • Ensure proper staging and organization of materials for production. • Promote and enforce safety guidelines and company policies on the production floor. • Coordinate with the maintenance team to address any equipment repairs or preventive maintenance needs. • Train and mentor team members as needed to ensure smooth production processes. • Maintain accurate shift records, including daily reports on production, staffing, and any incidents. Qualifications: • Prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing or construction environment is preferred, ideally in concrete or block production. • Strong leadership and communication skills. • Ability to manage a team and meet production goals in a fast-paced environment. • Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues. • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and equipment. • Attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality standards. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
