Concrete Construction Worker

STRUCTURAL offers a wide range of specialty repair and maintenance services and is the largest concrete repair contractor in the United States, with roughly 2,500 employees working from locations nationwide and in select international markets. STRUCTURAL is the open-shop contracting business line of Structural Group. STRUCTURAL is looking for Concrete Laborers to join our team performing work throughout the Tampa Bay area. Construction duties include: • Concrete repair • Concrete demolition • Concrete placement and finishing • Waterproofing • Formwork / carpentry • Rebar replacement • Caulking • Expansion joints • Coating application • Carbon Fiber installation Job Requirements: • Understanding of construction equipment, tools and materials • 1-5+ years of prior construction experience preferred but not required • Must be open to traveling. • Comfortable working at high heights as some projects may require man lifts or scaffold systems. • Comfortable working on or around water as some projects may require this. • Reliable transportation to travel to and from project sites locally and / or out of town (if selected for out-of-town projects) • Bi-lingual English / Spanish is a plus Earn between $19-$25 per hour (based on experience) • $300 Signing Bonus - $150 after 30 days of employment, $150 after 90 days of employment * Candidates must be team oriented and solution oriented, with a proactive, professional, positive attitude. Candidates must be safety-oriented in all situations and environments. Candidates must also be able to pass written or computerized industrial plant entrance tests. Construction Laborer

Responsible for performing a wide range of tasks on construction projects which requires worker to have an extensive experience level and ability to perform many different tasks during all stages of construction. Job Responsibilities: • Clean and prepare construction sites • Load, unload, and distribute building materials • Assist other workers, such as carpenters and finishers, as directed • Erect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring, braces, and other temporary structures • Assist in the building and positioning of concrete forms • Operate a variety of tools and small power equipment • Ensure completed work assignments meet quality standards and within project schedule • Clean up jobsite rubble and debris • Ensure onsite tools and materials are maintained in a proper fashion • Maintain, organize and clean job site at all times • Other duties as assigned by President and Superintendent • Obey the Scherer Construction/OSHA safety standards at all times Job Skills, Knowledge, Training and Experience: • Knowledge of various types of construction practices • Sound knowledge of proper use of tools, equipment, machines, and materials of the trade • Ability to follow directions and pre-established guidelines • Mathematical skills necessary to take and compute measurements • Ability to get along with others and work in teams • Ability to analyze and resolve problems • Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines • Self-motivated • Maintain a positive attitude Education and Training Requirements: • 1 – 2 years work experience in construction or related field Licensing Requirements: None
