Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Brick Mason to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in masonry work, including bricklaying, concrete forming, and related construction activities. This role involves building and repairing structures with bricks, concrete blocks, and other materials, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. The Brick Mason will work on various projects such as residential, commercial, and restoration sites, contributing to the successful completion of construction projects with precision and professionalism. Duties • Lay bricks, concrete blocks, stones, and other masonry materials according to blueprints and schematics • Mix mortar and concrete for various applications including wall construction and repairs • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution • Install rebar and metal framing as needed for structural support • Perform concrete finishing, plastering, stucco application, and caulking to achieve desired surface quality • Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and specialized machinery safely and efficiently • Execute renovation projects involving restoration of existing structures or new construction • Install metal stud framing, perform tile laying, trim carpentry, roofing work, and other related tasks as required • Estimate construction costs for masonry projects and assist with construction estimating when necessary • Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry, roofing, welding, and heavy equipment operators to ensure project cohesion Experience • Proven experience in masonry or related construction fields with a strong portfolio of completed projects • Knowledge of concrete forming techniques and concrete finishing processes • Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics interpretation for accurate project implementation • Experience in construction estimating is a plus but not mandatory • Hands-on experience with rebar installation, plastering, stucco application, caulking, tile laying, and restoration work preferred • Ability to operate power tools, heavy equipment, and specialized machinery safely on construction sites • Prior work on renovation projects or in commercial/residential settings is highly desirable • Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites along with the ability to work effectively within a team environment This position offers an opportunity to contribute to diverse construction projects while honing your masonry skills in a dynamic environment.
