Job Description: We are seeking a machinist with at least 2-years of experience to join our team. The machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating manual mills, and lathes to produce precision parts and tooling in accordance with technical guidelines and quality control standards. This position is designated as Safety Sensitive by FAA-DOT. All employees must pass a Pre-Employment Drug Test and will be subject to ongoing random drug and alcohol testing. PRIMARY OBJECTIVES: • Complete assigned tasks following applicable technical guidelines and quality control standards. • Ensure tasks are performed in the correct sequence, orderly, and timely manner. • Properly identify and use tools and equipment required for the job. • Accurately complete necessary paperwork in a timely fashion. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Under management supervision, the machinist will: • Set up and operate manual mills and lathes to produce precision parts and tooling. • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications. • Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to perform machining operations. • Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process. • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards. • Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment. • Maintain a clean and organized work area. • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team. • Multi-task and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Cnc Lathe Machinist

Job Title: CNC Lathe Machinist Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team. As a CNC Lathe Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC lathes to produce high-quality components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications. Responsibilities • Set up and operate CNC lathes to machine parts to exact specifications. • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions. • Select appropriate tooling and fixtures for each job. • Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency. • Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges. • Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to minimize downtime. • Maintain accurate production and inspection records. • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and work area. • Follow all safety and quality protocols. Essential Skills • Experience in lathe setup, including setting up a dual spindle CNC lathe. • Ability to enter programs and hold a tolerance of +/- 2/10ths. • Proficiency in using Fanuc controls to enter CAD CAM. • Experience working with hardened metals such as Inconel and Titanium. • Proficiency in blueprint reading, troubleshooting, and grinding. Additional Skills & Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machining preferred. • 2–5 years of experience operating CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment. • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and GD&T. • Familiarity with G-code and CNC programming; experience with Fanuc and Haas controls is a plus. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Experience with multi-axis lathes or live tooling. • Experience in aerospace, defense, or medical device manufacturing. • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
