CNC MILL SETUP & MACHINING RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS CNC MACHINIST JOB INCLUDE: - Work within close tolerances on CNC mills and lathes - Meet daily production goals - Responsible for parts inspection and maintaining tooling - Use precision measuring equipment to ensure quality standards are met - Perform advanced set-ups with indicating, leveling, clamping, and blocking - Setup CNC Vertical Haas -Operates the CNC machines under little or no supervision. - Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines - Position and secure work pieces on machines by using holding devices - Remove and measure work pieces from machines -Able to use and program a lathe - To understand and ensure that parts must conform to specifications by reading engineer drawing and using measuring instruments such as gauges, calipers, micrometers and microscopes - Operate and perform all machine set ups and troubleshoot all tooling issues to produce high quality component parts and perform maintenance on the machine and tooling used. - Perform quality inspection of components - Read and interpret prints, routing, layouts, and related documents to produce component parts that meet design specifications in order to satisfy company quality standards. - Set-up and operate all jobs routed to the assigned machines with no assistance and meet the production standard required for the given department. - Perform routine preventive maintenance and most machine repairs on assigned machines, and maintain proper coolant levels and concentrations on a daily basis. - Troubleshoot all machine and tooling problems and correct as necessary QUALIFICATIONS & OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED: - Ability to read and interpret blue prints - Must be adept at using micrometers, snap gauges and other dimensional evaluation tools - Must have a strong mechanical ability with solid experience in the field - Must have high school diploma or GED - Must be able to stand for 8 hours, ability to lift and carry 100 pounds, able to work with some chemicals - Must have strong math skills and be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide - Must be 18 years or over - Must be a US citizen, Green Card, or status approved by US Government for ITAR manufacturing and able to acquire security clearance - No felony record (required by ATF) - Must be able to do other duties as assigned Work Environment: (*) The work environment for this job is a manufacturing shop floor, which is heated and air conditioned. The noise level is usually high due to industrial machines. This position requires frequent walking, frequent standing, frequent lifting, lifting heavy objects, as well as sitting at a desk.
