Job Summary This role involves precision machining of tooling and components in a fast-paced environment, ensuring tight tolerances and high-quality standards. We are seeking a skilled machinist to join our team, where you will have the opportunity to build your future with us. The Role • Mechanical knowledge is essential for this position. • You should be able to machine parts from prints and samples. • A tolerance of +/-0.005 is required for this role. • You must work accurately in a timely manner and maintain a well-organized workspace. • Proficiency in surface grinder operation, milling machines with digital read out, lathe operations, and CNC milling machining operations is necessary. • You should be able to read all machinist-measuring tools and write/read CNC conversational machine code. • Able to perform duties un-supervised in a professional, timely manner and communicate effectively in English. Requirements • A high school diploma or equivalent is required. • At least 2 years of experience as a machinist or completion of a machine shop trade school is necessary. • Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics is required. • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings. • Capability to work to extremely close tolerances is essential. • Able to work overtime including Saturdays as required. • Stand and walk continuously for 8 hours if necessary. • Climb stairs and ladders. • Lift and carry 50 pounds. • Able to operate forklifts and aerial lift equipment.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Machinist’s Mates (MM) are responsible for operating and maintaining ship propulsion machinery, auxiliary equipment and outside machinery. Specifically, your job responsibilities as an MM may include: • Aligning piping systems for oil, water, air and steam • Operating ship boilers and steam turbines used for ship propulsion • Operating turbo generators used to produce electrical power • Cleaning, adjusting, testing and maintaining boilers, engines, generators • Maintaining auxiliary machinery including steering engines, elevators, winches, pumps and valves • Operating and maintaining water desalination plants • Maintaining refrigeration plants, air conditioning systems and galley equipment • Repairing valves, pumps, heat exchangers, compressors, steam turbines and hydraulic and pneumatic devices • Creating and analyzing machinery operating reports and records PAY & BENEFITS When you serve your country, you become a part of something truly important – and you deserve to be rewarded accordingly.
