Machine Operator

POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for operating Block Mold equipment in accordance with procedures to ensure optimum product quality. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties as assigned) . Above average understanding of the manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements and departmental procedures. . Operates the Block Mold. May also include the duties of operating the pre-expander or setting up equipment. . Verify equipment set-up prior to start of a production run, operates and shuts down manufacturing equipment. . Verifies order information and produces part(s) with the correct material, density, weight, size, and/or shape within quality tolerance to meet specific job requirements while meeting productivity standards. . Communicates with supervisor to ensure a clear understanding of the daily/weekly molding schedule. . Mold expanded bead to specific density . Monitor molding process to ensure proper fusion of the block and record pertinent information . Label block with required information. . Cut blocks to the specified size required. . Monitors equipment and reports malfunctions to supervisor; assists with routine cleaning and minor maintenance. . Troubleshoot and make adjustments to equipment settings . Responsible for training back-up operators as needed . Maintains proper work logs and completes required reports as necessary. . Maintains a clean and organized work area. . Transports finished product using forklift or hand operated equipment . Performs any other functions and responsibilities as assigned. . Must be trained and familiar with general safety. . Must be trained and familiar with Quality System Awareness. . Must be verified by supervisor and be signed off on procedures needed to fulfill job requirements within 2 months of hire. . Must be forklift operator certified within 2 months of hire. . Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance is required. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE . High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. . Prior experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment preferred. . Prior experience operating a forklift preferred. . Basic computer skills and knowledge of barcoding. SKILLS & ABILITIES . Must be fluent in the English language, both written and spoken. . Must be able to use simple math and use basic hand-held measuring tools. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT . Light to moderate physical effort required including sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, climbing steps or ladders, grasping, fine and course manipulation, reaching both forward and above head level, and tolerant of temperature changes for the entire shift. . Must be able to push, pull and/or lift up to 50 pounds; and safely operate assigned machinery. OTHER . The duties of this job may vary slightly across divisions and locations. Manufacturing Operations Lead

Production Manager Job Description We are seeking a Production Manager to lead the day-to-day activities of our manufacturing plant in Kingman, Arizona. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-oriented Manager with excellent planning and scheduling skills. You will build a high-performing production team and ensure the plant runs in a safe and efficient manner. • Analyze operation data daily to summarize production efficiency, scrap rates, regrind usage, downtime, and change over times by machine and by shift. • Present operational data to Supervisors and Managers daily to explain results, goals, and implement methods for ongoing continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: • Lead the day-to-day activities of extrusion to ensure products are manufactured efficiently. • Review master schedules, create daily schedules, and manage labor resources, machine utilization, and die change over activities. • Effectively run morning transition meetings to review operational data, safety, quality, daily schedule objectives, and maintenance priorities. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of software applications such as ERP/MES systems, MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook. They must be able to assess the requirements of a fast-growing business and respond with the right strategic direction. Production Operator

SUMMARY To manufacture, visually inspect and package pipe in accordance with JM Eagle specifications. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. • Unitize pipe on line. • Perform all necessary measurements to ensure pipe is in tolerance. • Accurately complete Production Inspection Report and supporting documentation. • Record bi-hourly line checks and notify any changes to supervisor. • Report any problems to Supervisor. • Operate forklift to take units out, take out scrap, change color boxes, or move supplies. • Identify visual defects in pipe. • Accurately calculate and make required adjustments to the lines. • Make minor repairs to equipment. • Record machine conditions and report any abnormality to Supervisor. • Accurately calculate machine rate. • Clean extruder and cooling tank water filters. • Make and collect Q. C. samples as required. • Make die adjustments for proper centering of pipe wall. • Assist during startup, shutdown, and change over. • Train inexperienced employees on the job. • Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly to “Total Housekeeping Management” and “ISO” standards. • Use safe work practices and report hazardous conditions. • Perform other miscellaneous jobs as directed • Must be able to utilize and understand the bar code system to make bundle tags and end of shift report. • Follow the guidelines, policies, and procedures of JM Eagle. • Other duties may be assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Review the quality and appearance of finished products and makes most required machine changes with the approval of Supervisor. Work independently as well as under the general directions of the Production Supervisor, Production Lead Man, Plant Superintendent, and Plant Manager. Maintain working relations with all departments.
