CNC Programmer

Job Description Responsible for programming and nesting plasma tables, tube lasers, flat lasers, and press brakes using CAD and CAM software. This role requires: • A strong understanding of manufacturing processes. • Attention to detail. • Ability to work collaboratively within a team. The programmer will maintain detailed documentation of all programming activities, including program files, setup sheets, and tooling information, to achieve production goals and ensure product quality. Experience and Qualifications • Develop and implement programs and nests for plasma tables, tube lasers, flat lasers, and press brakes to meet production specifications. • Experience with sheet metal and/or structural steel fabrication required. • Maintain detailed documentation of all programming activities, including program files, setup sheets, and tooling information. • Troubleshoot and resolve programming issues during production. • Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements. • Ability to meet frequent short timeline goals and deadlines. • Proficient in computer use, including Microsoft Office Suite. • Experience with CAD and/or CAM software (e.g., Inventor, AutoCAD, Boost, OmniWIN). • Basic knowledge of Global Shop or similar ERP systems. • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.

General Job Description Responsible for operating laser, forklift, and tool grinder. Responsible for set up, operations, and routine maintenance of laser equipment. Must be mechanically inclined and can read a tape measure. Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to interpret dimensions to the appropriate measurements on the machine. Understanding measurements and basic math skills are a requirement. Work Experience Requirements • 2 years experience with machine operation in manufacturing environment preferred but willing to train. • Must be able to perform basic math functions and use standard measuring devices. • Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to interpret dimensions to the appropriate measurements on the machine. • Basic computer skills • Must have excellent attendance history. • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. • Ability to work standing on hard surface for 10 - 12-hour shifts in hot or cold environment. • Good hand and eye coordination. • Good visual acuity. • Ability to climb, bend, kneel, crouch or stoop to perform various functions of the position. • Must be able to read and understand English. • Must be able to read and interpret basic blueprints. • Ability to reach with hands and arms. • Ability to work independently. • Other duties as assigned. • Physical Requirements: • * This position is typically in a manufacturing setting and requires standing for long periods of time.
