Machine Shop Manager

We are seeking a skilled and driven Machine Shop Manager to lead our CNC machining operations. This position plays a key role in our manufacturing support team by developing strategies to optimize machine and labor utilization, while driving performance in safety, quality, delivery, and profitability. Key Responsibilities • Oversee daily operations of the CNC machining department, ensuring efficient production flow and meeting delivery targets. • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of machinists and technicians; manage staffing, scheduling, training, and performance. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and boost productivity. • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and other departments to launch new products and improve existing processes. • Maintain compliance with company quality systems, certifications, and manufacturing best practices. • Plan and implement layout changes, new equipment integration, and technology improvements to enhance capabilities and capacity. • Champion a safe work environment and promote 5S practices throughout the shop. Qualifications • Degree in Business, Manufacturing, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience. • 3+ years of supervisory or management experience in a machining or CNC manufacturing environment. • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems. • Knowledge of continuous improvement tools, SPC, and quality systems. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone passionate about developing people, improving processes, and contributing to operational excellence. CNC Programmer

Job Description Responsible for programming and nesting plasma tables, tube lasers, flat lasers, and press brakes using CAD and CAM software. This role requires: • A strong understanding of manufacturing processes. • Attention to detail. • Ability to work collaboratively within a team. The programmer will maintain detailed documentation of all programming activities, including program files, setup sheets, and tooling information, to achieve production goals and ensure product quality. Experience and Qualifications • Develop and implement programs and nests for plasma tables, tube lasers, flat lasers, and press brakes to meet production specifications. • Experience with sheet metal and/or structural steel fabrication required. • Maintain detailed documentation of all programming activities, including program files, setup sheets, and tooling information. • Troubleshoot and resolve programming issues during production. • Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements. • Ability to meet frequent short timeline goals and deadlines. • Proficient in computer use, including Microsoft Office Suite. • Experience with CAD and/or CAM software (e.g., Inventor, AutoCAD, Boost, OmniWIN). • Basic knowledge of Global Shop or similar ERP systems. • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
