Summary The Machinist Level 1 is responsible for the basic machining tasks and operation of equipment to produce precision parts and components to meet customer needs. This will require working with various materials and tools to contribute to the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will possess a strong desire to learn and grow in the field of machining. Essential Functions ? Operate production equipment to produce precision machined parts. This includes CNS, mills, lathes, etc. ? Safely operate forklift and hoist. ? Place and install fixtures and gusset plates. ? Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job. ? Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping. ?
