Who we are looking for: We are seeking a experienced CNC Programming Machinist/ Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and components, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to specifications. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work with various machining tools and equipment. This is a growth-focused role with long-term potential. Responsibilities • Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner following company policies and safety regulations. • Read and interpret blueprints to accurately program CNC jobs. • Understand and manage materials, specifications, and machining parameters for optimal production. • Proficient in complex plastic fabrication and tooling, ensuring precision and quality. • Troubleshoot machining processes, edit programs, replace worn tools, and adhere to quality assurance standards. • Utilize tool registers, offsets, and conditional switches while performing calculations using basic math, geometry, and trigonometry. • Load machines with workpieces, verify settings by measuring positions, and conduct first-run inspections. • Monitor operations, take measurements, and detect and resolve malfunctions to maintain specifications. • Meet production goals in terms of cycle time, quantity, and quality. • Safely load and unload raw materials and castings into machines. • Use gauges and measuring instruments to meet precise tolerance requirements. • Identify, deploy, and properly use inserts, fixtures, and tooling. • Perform and apply tool wear offsets as needed. • Conduct daily cleaning and light maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance. • Adhere to all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and procedural instructions. Required Qualifications • 2-year degree from a technical college in a related field and/or 3+ years of experience as a CNC Programming Machinist. • Advanced knowledge of CNC tooling and programming processes. • Strong understanding of equipment, materials, and machining techniques used in production. • Knowledge of safety requirements, proper equipment use, and safety precautions. • Ability to follow and issue routine oral and written instructions. • Strong ability to collaborate and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues. PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as required. • Capable of moving or transferring products using a forklift or hand cart. • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, bend, and twist while performing job duties. • Work environment noise levels range from moderate to high, with hearing protection advised. • Safety glasses are required at all times on the shop floor due to the forced air evacuation of metal debris.
