Associate Machinist - 3rd Shift - $29.75 / hr + $1.50 / hr Shift Premium

Job Title 3rd Shift : Sunday-Thursday 10 : 00 pm - 6 : 30 am What You Will Do Under moderate supervision set up and operate machinery and inspect machined components using precision measuring equipment while keeping production records and maintenance logs. Responsibilities • Will set up and perform frequent to regular tasks using standard procedures and various conventional and / or manual machine tools. • Will work from engineering drawings and / or specifications. • Will be required to comply with and maintain documentation and records. • May determine tool offsets and load tooling into machinery at correct settings. • May use precision measuring equipment to ensure components meet engineering specifications. • Will assist maintenance personnel with routine maintenance. • Will train others on operational and / or documentation procedures. Fabricator and Machine Operator 3rd shift!

Position Summary: Under general supervision, the Fabricator I is responsible for producing high quality fabricated parts utilizing various fabrication equipment. Preferred Education: High school diploma or GED  Qualifications & Experience: Ability to meet work schedule and meet overtime requirements, including weekends. Ability to read and understand procedures, safety sheets, instructions, and policies in English. Ability to carry out verbal instructions and communicate verbally in English. Ability to adhere to safety related issues to include, but not limited to good housekeeping and ergonomics practices. May be required to have workplace organization and follow training procedures. Including cross training and teamwork. Repetitive nature – stamina to do the work. Attention to detail. Safety and Quality: propensity to speak up when and if an issue occurs, notice it and bring it up. Ability to learn new processes, systems and equipment. Must have skills in documentation, team concepts, and basic preventative maintenance. Teamwork – get along with others; work in a diverse setting; participate in getting better as a team, work with cross functional teams, conflict resolution. Motivation – grow/learn/progress to next level in skills (willingness ability to cross train). Preferred Qualifications & Experience Preferred experience in manufacturing Ability to operate basic fabrication equipment required. Quality training, incoming part quality, gage plan completion, and proper part loading. Physical & Mental Requirements: Requires ability to lift/carry 10-50 lbs. on a frequent basis depending on product line, may rarely lift/carry 50-75 lbs. Job demands include prolonged stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, sitting, standing and/or crawling as appropriate. May be required to reach, push or pull in order to accomplish job accountabilities. Requires hand grasp ability. Requires coordination of hands and/or eye/hand/foot. Meets cognitive demands to include visual discrimination/memory, auditory discrimination/memory reading ability, independent decision making and retention of specific knowledge. May be exposed to loud noises. Requires the operation of machinery as appropriate for performance of job. Requires use of safety glasses, steel toe shoes, and hearing protection in designated areas.
