Mold Shop Technician/CNC Machinist - Nights

Join Our Team! • Safety Driven Culture • Opportunity to earn quarterly bonus • Health Benefits Day 1 • Weekly Pay • and much more ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS • Use blueprints, sketches, manuals, or descriptions, to visualizes product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts. • Compute dimensions, plan layout, and determine assembly method and sequence of operations. • Measure, mark, and scribe stock for machining/welding. • Set up and safe operate machine tools/equipment such as CNC manual lathes and mills, grinder, brake press, saws, crane to machine or join parts. • Safe and efficient use of all hand tools used to create and repair industrial machinery. • Use various tools, software to design parts to be fabricated. • Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators. • File, grind, shim, and adjust different parts to properly fit them together. • Select materials to be used, including plastics, metals and alloys, based on desired properties such as hardness, heat tolerance, abrasion resistance etc. • Determining the appropriate welding equipment or method based on specifications, to set up and weld according to specifications. • Effectively jig and fixture components using appropriate methods. • Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps. Use appropriate methods to assess and inspect welded surfaces and structure to identify flaws and ensure conformance to specifications. REQUIREMENTS Education: • High School Diploma or GED/HSE required. • Certificate in CNC, Welding, Machining, preferred. • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred. Years of Experience: • 2-5 years of Mold Shop experience preferred or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Other Requirements: • Language Skills: Able to read and interpret documents in English such as, blueprints, schematics, operating and maintenance instructions, and manuals. • Mathematical Skills: Able to calculate figures and amounts such as, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Able to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. • Reasoning Skills: Able to apply common sense understanding and linear thinking, to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. • Experience in using a variety of welding equipment (TIG, MIG, stick welders, oxyacetylene torch, plasma torch etc.). • Valid driver’s license required for business travel. • Must be able to produce accurate work in a fast-paced environment. • Regular and predictable attendance required • Work beyond the traditional 40 hours per week may be required as work load or projects dictate, including weekends and holidays. Ability to work 12-hour shifts on our 3-2-2-3 schedule.
