CNC Machinist - Day Shift

Due to continued growth Impres is looking to add several permanent, full time, members to the team: • 3 axis or 5-axis CNC Setup Machinist : With 30 CNC machines Impres is looking to add several CNC set-up machinists. We have several 5-axis mills as well as 20 3-axis mills and we need setup operators for both areas of the shop. Machinists must have the ability to set-up and run unproven jobs from provided work instructions and detailed part prints with GD&T. we are looking for a minimum of 3 years of experience and employees with their own tools. We work primarily with aluminum but also machine all plastics, stainless, tool steels as well as exotic aerospace materials. Compensation at Impres is hourly and Compensation is customized for every employee based on Previous employment positions, Formal education, and training experiences. Title: Machinist Reports to: Supervisor Location: Holland - Machine Shop LG Energy Solution Michigan Inc. Come join the leader in advanced EV batteries! www.lgenergymi.com Summary: The Machinist will perform machine set-ups in conformance to blue-prints, and machine operations on all manual shop machines and CNC milling machines, while maintaining quality levels. Responsibilities: • Operate machinery upon completion of training • Set up equipment parameters to conform to process work standards • Perform daily machine cleaning, maintenance, error proofing, and lubrication checks • Perform machine troubleshooting to improve machine performance and maintain quality • Ensure work is completed in a safe manner & maintain a safe working environment • Assist experienced machinists with daily tasks (Manual, CNC Milling) • Cut materials, fabricate, and installation • Use measuring instruments (Vernier caliper, micrometer, inner diameter micrometer, cylinder gauge, etc.) • Check equipment regularly to ensure normal operating activity • Engage in basic troubleshooting and report issues if not resolved • Complete daily documentation, check lists and audits • Follow established work instructions • Adhere to safety requirements at all times, including the use of proper PPE • Adhere to general, and position-specific, dress code requirements • Participate in, and successfully complete, any and all training requirements • Regular and reliable on-site attendance is required • Follow LGESMI existing cleaning SOP’s during downtime (e.g. line stop, waiting time, etc.), which includes cleaning your designated machine and/or surrounding work area • Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards: • Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain • Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container • Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: • High School Diploma or GED required • Vocational Certificate or Associates Degree preferred or equivalent, relevant experience Experience: • 1+ years of machining experience Skills: • Ability to work well with individuals and teams to ensure the team meets and exceeds expectations • Communication skills • Trouble-shooting and problem solving skills • Attention to detail

Who We Want: The CNC Programmer Machinist is responsible for setup and build of tooling/die components to precise tolerances utilizing CNC technology by means of programming, setup, and operating a CNC machine. They will operate a CNC machine to produce parts, all of which must meet the dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawing. Challenge Mfg. Company offers newer and well-kept CNC equipment in a climate-controlled environment. Equipment includes Haas CNC Mills and Mitsubishi Wire EDM. Inspects and measures parts, as required, to maintain quality records. • Attention to detail; maintains accurate counts of parts; attaches labels or tags to finished part containers identifying customer, part number, quantity, and shop order information. • Utilizes the data collection system to accurately record production activities including time spent, quantity produced and any rejected parts. • Communicates with co-workers and supervisor to receive instructions and coordinate job activities. • Follows all safety procedures and wears safety equipment or apparel as required. • Performs all job functions to meet acceptable quality and performance standards. • Ensures daily that the work area is clean and orderly including machine, tooling, and workstation. • Perform all daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance as required. When and Where: This will be a 2nd Shift / 2PM-10PM M-F; 3rd Shift / 10PM-6AM S-TH position located at our Plant in Holland, MI. What You Need to Have: High School Diploma or GED (required).
