Job Title: Machinist Job Description This position is for a CNC machinist in a job shop setting. The individual will be responsible for the production of parts using vertical mills. They will handle 2-3 setups per day and will be responsible for both setting up and running the production of the parts. The role requires blueprint reading, material procurement, and the production of parts. Additionally, the machinist will conduct first article inspections using quality tools and adjust machine feeds and speeds as necessary. The ability to hold a tolerance of +/- .001 is essential. Responsibilities • Set up and run the production of parts using vertical mills. • Perform 2-3 setups per day. • Read and interpret blueprints. • Procure necessary materials for part production. • Conduct first article inspections using quality tools (mics, cals, gauges). • Adjust machine feeds and speeds as necessary. • Maintain a tolerance of +/- .001. • Perform minor preventative maintenance on machines. Essential Skills • CNC machining experience, ideally with mills. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints. • Experience holding a tolerance of +/- .001. • Proficiency in using inspection tools. Machine Operator - South Bend, IN

Job Overview Operator is responsible for periodic inspection of parts being produced and production of quality parts. Must keep work area clean and orderly at all times. A Day In The Life Loads coils, operates tends and service machines in a continuous line to produce completed boxes. Boxes are transferred automatically from one machine to another and from one station to another in the same machine. Operator must clear stoppages in tracks and dies of all machines, change taps, full lubricant or compound tanks, oil certain areas as required and do any sorting or salvage of parts during line operaton.
