For more information, please visit www.orchid-ortho.com SHIFTLAN - Shift 2 ($1.50) (United States of America - Michigan) A BRIEF OVERVIEW The CNC Machinist I position contributes to the production of medical devices by operating and performing basic set ups of CNC 2 and 3 Axis machines, with the ability to identify X, Y, Z and 0 coordinates. He/she is responsible for running multiple and varying CNC machines simultaneously, such as Lathes, EDM Wire, and Plunge machines in addition to operating manual machine tools to cut, drill, shape, and finish quality products with some supervision. Experience with CNC Machining in a manufacturing work environment required. WHAT YOU WILL DO • The Machinist, CNC reports directly to the area Supervisor. • Performs basic machining functions to produce parts. • Operates multiple machines simultaneously. • Monitors the machine to ensure proper program performance. • Completes shop work orders, inspection documentation, and daily maintenance sheets. • Makes off sets and adjustments to machines with moderate supervision. • Advocates for the health and safety of self, co-workers, customers, and the community. • Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS). • Completes all required training. CNC Machinist I - Full-time / Part-time

Contracted CNC Machinist I Position Summary The CNC Machinist I Produces machined parts by operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies. The role requires the above to be accomplished within Tecomet‘s principles of continuous improvement, customer driven innovation and a win first culture, while meeting company financial and other performance metrics. This position is a 6 month contract. Principle Responsibilities • Operate CNC machines within specified tolerances following work instructions and in accordance with machine programs and engineering drawings. • Change dull tooling, and/or make minor offsets and adjustments as needed for tooling wear. • Ensure product quality is achieved by working to operator owned quality (OOQ) standards and requirements including using a range of measuring equipment and interpreting inspection reports. • Perform routine maintenance as per daily machine checklist and adhere to PM schedule. • Perform hand finishing. • Always Follow Good Manufacturing and Good Document Practices (GMP/GDP) including completion of job routers/ cards. • Ensure safe working practices are carried out to minimize risks to the job holder and/or colleagues, including identifying and reporting Safety, Health & Environmental issues. • Achieve set productivity targets and identify ways of improving productivity. • Record all activities in a timely manner on the job tracking system. • Identify and support Continuous Improvement activities. • Identify and escalate manufacturing issues to the Team Leader and/or Supervisor, participating in the resolution as required. • Maintain 5S/housekeeping standards within work area. • Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by supervisor.
