Responsibilities • Set up and operate CNC Lathe machining centers. • Spend 30% of your time performing setups and change outs. • Spend 70% of your time monitoring machines, inspecting completed parts, and cleaning/organizing work areas. • Conduct 1 to 3 setups per shift, with runs ranging from 20 to 200 parts. • Operate Okuma-Howa Lathes, including Bar Feeder Lathes and others. • Run two machines simultaneously. • Use micrometers and calipers to ensure parts meet specifications. • Mount, install, align, and secure tools and fixtures on machines. • Read, understand, and edit programs for Bar Feeders. • Perform preventative maintenance on CNC lathes. • Maintain a tolerance of +/- .005. Essential Skills • 3+ years of experience in setup, change outs, offsets, and operation of CNC Lathe machinery. • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, some with up to 100 dimensions. • Expertise in utilizing precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges. • Experience working with tight tolerances up to +/- .005. • Understanding of G & M codes to change tooling and make offset adjustments. • Mechanical and critical thinking skills for making accurate adjustments. • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
