CNC Machinist

We are a small to medium sized mold manufacturing/Machining company located just outside Grand Rapids in the city of Wyoming. We are currently looking for a CNC Machinist that can program their own machines. We currently program using Work NC or VISI software , programming knowledge is required but we are willing to train on our software if needed. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision , attention to detail and able to work some overtime when needed are a couple requirements of this position. Below are some of the responsibilities • Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models. • Loading raw materials into the CNC machine. • Inputting the product design into the computer modeling software. • Choosing and loading the correct cutting tools for the job. • Adjusting machine settings to the desired product specifications. • Troubleshooting issues during the manufacturing process. • Completing quality control tests during the manufacturing stage and on the final product. • Cleaning and maintaining the machine. Job Description We are looking to add quality CNC Machinists to our Night shift (B-Shift M-Thurs 7:30PM-6:00AM) Summary: The purpose of this position is to support the department's ability to achieve its goals and objectives. This can include operating multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously. 2.Correctly setup jobs in assigned equipment in a timely manner. 3.Perform 1st piece, in-process and last piece inspection using micrometers, calipers, comparators, various gauges and CMM equipment according to process documentation. 4.Perform data collection and communication tasks in Job Boss and other applications. 5.Perform operator maintenance. 6.Diagnose and correct equipment or tool issues. 7.Perform de-burr or rework of work in-process. 8.Make recommendations to optimize and improve assigned processes. 9.Maintain work station to 5S standards. 10.Perform all work according to PAC safety standards. 11.Comply with all PAC policy and procedures. Qualifications Suggested Qualifications: 1.5+ years of successful essential duty related experience, including operation of CNC controlled relevant equipment. 2.Firm understanding of machining center theory, including x, y and z axis, along with edge and centerline pickup. 3.Ability to use common measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauges (pin, thread, indicator, height), optical comparators and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). 4.Significant collaboration and communication skills related to continuous improvement and customer 5.Blueprint reading skills to GD&T standards 6.High school diploma or equivalent. 7.Basic Windows and MS Office skills. 8.Ability to perform basic math functions. 9.Ability to lift/push/pull 75 pounds periodically. Production Worker - CNC Operations

About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Production Worker - CNC Operations to join our team in Wyoming, Michigan. This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 3 months.
