Job Title: Machining Area Leader Job Description The Machining Area Leader will supervise a team of 2-4 machinists within the machining side of the facility. This role involves ensuring machine setups, tooling, and offsets are correct for product runs, troubleshooting and setting up CNC machines for operators, and overseeing the quality of parts to meet production goals. Responsibilities • Demonstrate equipment operations, work, and safety procedures to new associates. • Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure conformity to production standards. • Train new associates on equipment operation and quality measurements. • Recommend or implement measures to motivate associates and improve production methods and equipment. • Perform setups, tool changes, offsets, and startups on CNC machines. Essential Skills • 2-3 years of manufacturing and leadership experience. • 2+ years of CNC machining and setup experience. • Experience in a team lead manufacturing role. • CNC troubleshooting experience. • Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments. • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
