SUMMARY The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CNC programming, fixture design, and machining precision components within the manufacturing industry. They must also have a strong technical knowledge of machine processes, tooling, and quality standards, with a proven ability to optimize machining process while maintaining the highest levels of accuracy. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Program, set up, and qualify CNC machines (mills, lathes, and multi-axis equipment) for precision machining of components. • Design, develop, and implement custom fixtures to improve machining accuracy, repeatability, and production efficiency. • Interpret and apply engineering drawings, CAD/CAM models, GD&T, and specifications to machining processes. • Select appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds, and cutting strategies to optimize cycle times and extend tool life. • Conduct machine offsets, inspections, and adjustments to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with automotive quality standards. • Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and fixture issues to achieve machine qualification for new launches and programs. • Collaborate with design engineers, launch team, and quality assurance to ensure manufacturability of components. QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS: • Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered. • Experience: Minimum 5–7 years of hands-on CNC machining and fixture design in an automotive or high-precision manufacturing environment. • Advanced knowledge of CNC programming software (Mastercam, Siemens NX, CATIA, or equivalent). • Strong background in GD&T, blueprint reading, and precision measurement tools (CMM, micrometers, calipers, gauges). • Proven experience with fixture/jig design for machining applications. • Knowledge of quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, PPAP). • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams. • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills. Job Description We are looking to add quality CNC Machinists to our Night shift (B-Shift M-Thurs 7:30PM-6:00AM) Summary: The purpose of this position is to support the department’s ability to achieve its goals and objectives. This includes the safe and efficient operation of CNC Equipment allowing for the achievement of customer expectations for quality and on-time delivery. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Essential Duties: The following are the normal duties performed by this position. This can include operating multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously. 2.Correctly setup jobs in assigned equipment in a timely manner. 3.Perform 1st piece, in-process and last piece inspection using micrometers, calipers, comparators, various gauges and CMM equipment according to process documentation. 4.Perform data collection and communication tasks in Job Boss and other applications. 5.Perform operator maintenance. 6.Diagnose and correct equipment or tool issues. 7.Perform de-burr or rework of work in-process. 8.Make recommendations to optimize and improve assigned processes. 9.Maintain work station to 5S standards. 10.Perform all work according to PAC safety standards. 11.Comply with all PAC policy and procedures. Qualifications Suggested Qualifications: 1.5+ years of successful essential duty related experience, including operation of CNC controlled relevant equipment. 2.Firm understanding of machining center theory, including x, y and z axis, along with edge and centerline pickup. 3.Ability to use common measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauges (pin, thread, indicator, height), optical comparators and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). 4.Significant collaboration and communication skills related to continuous improvement and customer 5.Blueprint reading skills to GD&T standards 6.High school diploma or equivalent. 7.Basic Windows and MS Office skills. 8.Ability to perform basic math functions. 9.Ability to lift/push/pull 75 pounds periodically.
