Experienced CNC Machinist - 1st shift

JOB SUMMARY: Produce precision parts by use of CNC Mills and Lathes. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Operates and adjusts CNC machines such as, but not limited to: mills, lathes, etc. in production of complex parts, assemblies, tool jigs and fixtures. • Works from drawings, sketches, or verbal instructions to produce work to close tolerances. • Uses appropriate shop math and trig to develop proper methods, and through experience and training is able to select appropriate feeds, speeds, and tools. • Performs complex set-ups for self and/or others. • Has thorough knowledge of use and application of inspection and test tools and gages to assure part conformance to drawing requirements. • Uses and interprets appropriate statistical quality data and is able to identify quality problems through use of said data. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: • High school Diploma or GED is required. • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a machine shop working with CNC lathes and/or mills. • Must be able to read blue prints and have training or education in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). • Must be able to use and interpret precision measuring equipment. CMM experience is a plus. • Basic programming skills is preferred.

Job Summary: The primary responsibility for a manual Machinist is to provide service to customers in repairs, maintenance, refurbishing or rebuilding of equipment and products. The service department machinist must always exhibit positive and effective interaction with all customers, associates, and vendors. Duties/Responsibilities: • Uphold our safety commitment in all actions and communications as it applies in our safety manual and procedures. • Understand, use, and maintain repair documentation for all work performed. • Refurbish, rebuild, and replace required components to restore equipment to required working order. • This position is in a high-volume hydraulic repair facility, so hydraulic experience is also a plus. • Maintain a clean work area for safety and to expedite project completion. • This is NOT a CNC Machine Shop. Required Skills/Abilities: • Must be able to operate a manual engine lathe, and drill press. • Must be familiar with I.D. and O.D. threading and machining and know how to use precision measuring tools • Must be familiar with band saws and abrasive saws. • Attend the required training programs on products, services and self-development programs offered by or through Singer Industrial Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing and using equipment and sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
