CNC Machinist and Programmer

About the position Responsibilities • Machine, repair, modify fixtures, tooling, and manufacturing aids • Work closely with engineers, manufacturing, and shop associates to provide input on part/machine design and improvements • Perform preventive maintenance of machine shop equipment • Commit to continuous personal development aligned with current commitments and business needs • Identify materials, parts, equipment, and timeline required to complete jobs • Be flexible to work in other functions to meet business needs Requirements • Completion of a formal apprenticeship program and 2+ years hands-on machining experience, OR a minimum of 6 years' experience in a machine shop environment • Demonstrated experience in programming and running CNC mills and lathes, grinders, and manual shop equipment to make parts to exacting tolerances • Proven experience utilizing CAD/CAM software • Demonstrated experience using a variety of hand tools and precision measuring instruments • Proven computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel, e-mail) • Ability to produce machined parts from conceptual ideas, sketches, drawing packets, Solid Models, engineering specifications, or verbal input • Ability to maintain shop equipment and associated tooling • Ability to work safely in a shop environment • Ability to travel up to 5% Nice-to-haves • Familiarity with current FDA and ISO regulatory guidelines and clean-room protocol as they pertain to manufacturing machines and equipment • Experience in mentoring and training machine shop associates • Experience programming using MasterCam software Benefits • Medical, Dental and Vision benefits effective on Day 1 of employment • Comprehensive and competitive total rewards program • Associate Stock Ownership Plan • Potential opportunities for profit-sharing
