We are currently hiring a full-time CNC Machinist to join our growing team and support our operation and customer needs. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Create new and/or modify existing CNC programs as needed • Review written blueprints for production. • Produce and inspect quality parts per drawing, model, and/or sample on various equipment and associated machinery. • Define and/or assist in design tooling associated with manufacturing of parts on specified machinery. • Plan the sequence of efficient production operations • Selects materials & cutting tools utilized to meet product and/or job specifications. • Operates or monitors a variety of machine tools such as lathes, drill presses, milling machines, grinders or special purpose equipment. • Sets and calculates tool dimensions and performs facing, turning, drilling, milling, boring, reaming, tapping and other machining operations on various materials. • Monitor and control feed rate and cutting speed. • Ensure work piece is properly lubricated and/or cooled. • Detect problems by listening for specific sounds. • Monitor the accuracy of cuts. • Replace dull cutting tools when necessary. • Assure that machine shop machinery and tools are properly used and maintained for safe and efficient operation. • Assure machine shop equipment/tools are properly used, cleaned, and maintained for safe and efficient operation. • Participate in team discussions to review product design with respect to the most efficient and cost effective manufacturing methods. • Conduct periodic review of exiting tooling, assist management with cost effective replacement tooling as technology requires. • Perform self in-process inspections and documenting them appropriately • Support and provide assistance, as required, for various R&D and/or engineering projects and/or miscellaneous duties as required. • Ensure that safety, quality, efficiency, and housekeeping standards are maintained at all times. QUALIFICATIONS: • In depth understanding of universal G & M-codes/commands, as well as subroutines. • Minimum of 3 years experience in programming/operating CNC machinery • Minimum of two years experience utilizing manual machinery • Experience with both 3 & 4 axis CNC machining/programming along with CNC lathe/bar feeding • Well rounded knowledge of CNC machinery & operations • Must possess good organizational and planning skills • In-depth knowledge of CNC machinery, CNC coding • Overall understanding of tooling design/production • Strong math skills, oral/written communication skills and problem-solving skills • Ability to troubleshoot and provide resolution to technical problems in a timely, cost effective manner • Ability to work as a team player to meet or exceed internal and external customers’ expectations by providing products and services efficiently Must be seeking employment on a regular schedule and must successfully have the ability to pass a drug and background screening.
