Machine Operators are responsible to operate the machines to ensure a continuous flow of product to the production processing lines. This role sets up, monitors, and adjusts machine settings as needed throughout production shifts using computer screens. WHAT YOU'LL DO: • Operation of Combination Scales. This includes setting up machine to make a certain weight to be packaged; trouble shooting for overweight or underweight issues; trouble shooting to avoid wrong dumps and case of rework/defective product. • Operation of Bagger Machines. This includes setting up packaging machine to form a bag; trouble shooting for defective seals and appearance; maintain efficiencies on machines by maintaining machines running; and other activities such as preparing files, materials, tools, formers, inspection checks, etc. • Communicating in the work environment, keeping other team members informed of any issues or problems that arise in the operation of the machine. This includes supervisor(s) and/or maintenance should the machines require maintenance during the working shift. Requirements: WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: • High school diploma or GED and Previous experience in a manufacturing setting or a related position. • Experience in the food manufacturing industry preferred. • Demonstrated ability to operate machinery. • Ability to troubleshoot issues on the machine. • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. • Ability to collaborate with others and work independently. • Ability to identify key details. • Ability to troubleshoot. • Basic computer skills. WORK ENVIRONMENT: • This position requires the use of special safety precautions and/or equipment, e.g., working around operating machines, working with hazardous chemicals and materials, etc. • While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking over slippery surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as samples and record boxes. This position requires frequent pulling, carrying, and lifting up to 70lbs.
