CNC Machinist, Direct Hire • $22/hr-$27/hr +15% Premium (based off experience) • Kalamazoo, Michigan • 2 weeks PTO to start (negotiable based on experience) • 4 day work week Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to take on a dynamic role involving the entire machining process from start to finish. The machinist will be responsible for reading work orders and blueprints, starting up machines, performing changeovers/tool changes, adjusting programs, and running quality parts. The role requires quality control expertise and comfort with precision measuring instruments. This position offers the chance to work with advanced equipment, including HAAS mills, Swiss lathes, and various 3 & 4-axis CNC mills and lathes, primarily for low-high volume production machining. • Operate multi-axis CNC equipment and read blueprints. • Use basic machining gauges and understand standard machining terminology and principles. • Set up machines and work with a defined process to produce quality products, performing tool changes as needed. • Demonstrate good judgment in decision-making and problem-solving. Essential Skills • 4+ years of CNC machining, set-ups, tool changes, and operation. • Proficiency in blueprint reading and precision measuring tools. • Ability to operate CNC mills and lathes.
