A programmer requires the experience, skills, and ability to understand a blueprint and efficiently program and machine a part. This involves determining part processing with the best approach utilizing our machine tools, Mastercam programming software, set up, tooling, speeds and feeds, and final inspection. A programmer must have good communication skills to hand off a program allowing parts to be produced by a machinist. Communicating the programming method, setup, tooling required and inspection criteria. Essential Job Functions (Including but not limited to): • Preprocess parts, design, and create work holding needed. • Document process to follow for machine setup. • Final part inspection utilizing all forms of inspection tools.
