Job Title: CNC Machine Operator/Assembly Worker Full-Time | On-site Position Overview Under general supervision of shop supervisor, will operate CNC drills, mills, presses, saws, and other various machine tools performing basic metal working operations, as well as engage in various aspects of assembling agricultural parts and components. Principal Duties and Responsibilities - Operate CNC drilling machines including single and multi-spindle drills, performing hole making and countersinking operations, as well as operate various other machine tools including band saws, and punch presses, performing basic metal working operations - Ensure that machines are producing quality products by managing periodic checks on output according to inspection plans - Assemble bolted and riveted sickle assemblies, as well as other hay harvesting related components - Clean up machine parts and work stations after production orders are completed - Achieve production goals set out by production planning and leadership - Operate various other hand tools needed to perform assembly - Assist preparing parts for UPS or motor truck freight shipment - Perform other tasks as deemed necessary by supervisor and management Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required - Must be able to read, write and perform arithmetic calculations as normally acquired in high school to understand blue prints, dimensions and measurements - Should possess fundamental mechanical skills and be able to read a tape measure and dial calipers. - Ability to work as a member of a work crew or individually, as the work requires, exercising a substantial degree of independent judgment in planning and organizing their own work - Ability to concentrate and pay attention to detail. Machine Operator I work under close supervision and follows established procedures to ensure the efficient and safe operation of equipment.
