We are currently seeking a motivated and dependable individual to fill our CNC Operator- 2nd Shift role. This position offers a unique opportunity to learn and operate CNC machines in a clean, air-conditioned, and heated facility. No previous experience is required as we are committed to providing comprehensive training. If you have an eye for quality and a drive to learn, we'd love to meet you. Responsibilities • Setting up, loading, adjusting, and operating CNC machines. • Supervising machines during program execution to ensure production of quality products and achievement of production targets. • Following work instructions to achieve desired results. • Performing daily checks and maintenance on machinery to ensure functionality. • Inspecting products using precision measuring tools, such as gauges. • Filling out required performance documentation such as production and quality control logs. • Maintaining a clean and safe work area. Qualifications • No previous CNC Machine Operating experience required. • Ability to learn the use of Precision Measuring Tools. • Basic Mathematical Skills. • Effective Communication Skills. • Mechanical ability. • Proficiency in the use of Hand Tools. • Time Management Skills. Position Summary POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for building and repairing machinery components per verbal instructions, drawings, or blueprints. Performs setup, programming, and operates, CNC lathe, CNC milling machine, and electrical discharge machine (EDM). Assists Tool Makers as assigned. Responsibilities CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Is capable of receiving and interpreting verbal instructions, drawings, and blueprints. 2. Programs and operates CNC machines. 3. Supports other tool makers as required. 4. Completes paperwork as required including job cards, inspection reports, logs, etc. 5. Responsible for inspection of work, assuring that machinery and parts are constructed or repaired to specification. Immediately reports problems to department supervision. 6. Performs preventive maintenance on equipment. 7. Keeps work area neat, clean, organized and under control. 8. Is responsible for quality and safety of own work and compliance of all company procedures and policies Qualifications EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE: Required: High school education. Any deviations from the above requirements (e.g. substituting more work experience for required education) will be evaluated and approved by the Operation Manager. Preferred: One year CNC experience. About the position Responsibilities • Set-up, operate, and make necessary program modifications on one or more CNC machines. • Select, install, and adjust proper machine tools, jigs, and fixtures for operations to be performed. • Fabricate parts per print specifications and work orders. • Utilize precision measuring instruments to check tolerances and assure quality standards. • Perform authorized maintenance and adjusting of machine and machine tools. • Complete required production records and reports. Requirements • Requires knowledge of metal fabrication operations and CNC methods generally gained through technical education and/or 1-3 years on the job experience. • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
