Machinist/Operator

Marchant Schmidt Inc. -VMS Group specializes in manufacturing, rebuilding and distributing parts and equipment for the food and beverage industry worldwide and has for over 60 years. MSI is a third-generation family run company at which employees commonly work until retirement. We have an immediate full-time machinist position open for an individual who enjoys performing a variety of machine shop projects daily. Typical projects range from short run production to manufacturing part’s for reconditioning/upgrading food processing equipment. This is a first shift position with controlled overtime. This individual will be responsible for programming CNC equipment (ProtoTRAK) as well as being proficient with manual machines. You will be responsible for setup, dimensional verification and efficient operation of your machines. With some parts or projects, you may be operating multiple pieces of equipment in a cell-type setup. An ideal candidate would have technical school training in addition to job experience. You would also need excellent organizational skills and the ability to adapt to a changing workload. Oral and written communication skills are also important. CNC Edgebander Are you a detail-oriented individual with a knack for precision and a passion for manufacturing? We're looking for a dedicated CNC/Edgebander Operator to our client in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be responsible for applying specific edging materials to CNC-cut parts using a straight-line or contour banding machine.
