Duties and Responsibilities: • Operate CNC machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and/or grinders to produce metal parts. • Perform setups in accordance with instructions. • Read and comprehend G and M code and programs. • Check parts during runs with the appropriate gages. • Inspect all finished products for accuracy to ensure product quality meets company standards. • Report any non-conforming or defective material immediately to a supervisor. • Generate programs or edits existing programs as required. • Review programs for accuracy. • May be required to operate multiple machines or functions internal to primary operations as circumstances permit. • Accurately logs direct and indirect time to data collection software. • Maintain safe operations of all machine tools and equipment by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. • Exemplify Kingsbury’s safety mindset by complying with all safety requirements and acts as a safety ambassador. • Attends all company required trainings and meetings. (ie safety and department meetings) • Complete special projects, continuous improvement initiatives and other duties as assigned. Experience and Education: High school diploma or equivalent. If less than 8 years' experience, technical diploma or associate degree in Machining and/or Journeyman Machinist required. If 8+ experience, no additional education required.
