Hours – Flexible 8 hour shift between 6:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, no weekends! Job Duties • Set up and run Mazak Turning Center and/or Mazak Vertical Mills. • Operate manual mills and lathes for secondary operations • Monitor and inspect finish quality • Maintain and clean machines • Follow and enforce safe practices • Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications • Currently working towards or completion of a two-year Machine Tool Operator or equivalent experience • Proficient with measuring tools • Read and interpret drawings/blueprints • Operate Manual Mills and Lathes • Lift up to 25 lbs. Responsibilities include ordering materials, scheduling production runs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and development projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability, strong teamwork skills, and a commitment to meeting production demands. Flexibility to work overtime and assist other departmental areas as needed is required. Essential Functions: • Set up and operate machines within the cell • Utilize and understand inspection tools effectively. • Order materials and tooling as needed. • Receive orders using systems like Kanban and line stock. • Strong written/verbal communication skills with multiple levels of the organization • Prioritize and schedule incoming orders to optimize efficiency. • Work independently and as part of a cross-functional team. • Strong troubleshooting ability • Operate multiple machines simultaneously. • Other work duties as needed. Qualifications: • High School Diploma or GED equivalent. • Technical Certificate or Associate Degree in a Machine Tool program, or 5-7 years of relevant experience required. • 1 year of experience with mathematics, blueprints and metrology tooling required • Experience with G&M codes is a substantial plus • Proficiency with computers, including internet browsers, email communication, printing, and Microsoft Office Suite. • Must be a team player and self-starter with strong communication skills. • Cross training is required on a regular basis • Must be able to stand for the entire shift and have the ability to lift 50 pounds continuously ITW is an equal opportunity employer.
