Shift - 3pm-12am (2nd Shift) About the Role We’re seeking an experienced Lead Machine Operator to oversee daily machine operations and lead a small team of operators to ensure production goals are met safely, efficiently, and with high quality standards. This role combines hands-on machine operation with leadership responsibilities , ensuring smooth workflow, proper training, and adherence to company standards. Key Responsibilities • Set up, operate, and maintain production machinery according to specifications. • Lead and mentor a team of machine operators and production associates. • Monitor production output, quality, and efficiency; make real-time adjustments as needed. • Train new operators on equipment operation, safety protocols, and production processes. • Coordinate with maintenance and quality departments to resolve issues quickly. • Track downtime, material usage, and productivity metrics. • Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S and safety standards. • Communicate daily production goals and shift updates to the team and management. • Ensure compliance with all company, OSHA, and ISO requirements. Qualifications • 3–5 years of experience as a Machine Operator or similar role; at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory capacity preferred. • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. • Proven leadership and communication skills. • Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and production documentation. • Experience with [specific machines or systems, e.g., CNC, injection molding, packaging equipment]. • Basic computer proficiency (production tracking, reporting, etc.). • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications a plus.

Must be able to make tool offsets in the machine control to maintain tolerances on the parts being produced. A Day In The Life • Must be able to read and understand blueprints and produce parts from the information obtained from the blueprints within required tolerances. • Responsible for the quality of the parts they produce and perform first-piece inspection, as well as subsequent inspections, to ensure overall quality. • Responsible for taking care of routine maintenance and keeping the work area clean and neat. • Follow all safety rules regarding machine operation and proper guarding. • Maintain simple reports on productivity, quality and safety. Must be equipped with all required tools to perform the functions of their job. • Physical ability to do work requiring frequent standing and bending, as well as lifting up to 30 lbs. frequently. • Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work order instructions and prepare simple production reports. • Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, operate machines and inspect parts. • Sufficient manual dexterity to operate the equipment properly.
