Machinist - 3rd shift

Job Description Essential Functions : • Maintains cleanliness and safety in work area • Sets up and runs machines/tooling • Sets up and runs machines/tooling • Perform calibration of standard measuring equipment, i.e. gauges, calipers, tooling as directed • Completes paperwork such as scrap sheets, up-issues, logs, data gathering, first/last piece inspection report • Provides training to employees • Performs required machine preventive maintenance • Troubleshoots equipment, machine and process problems • Use computer for production related functions • Use appropriate PPE for the task assigned • Other duties as assigned Qualifications: • Demonstrate strong working knowledge of CNC, VMC and Mazak work centers • Ability to use standard measuring equipment, i.e. gauges, calipers, tooling as directed • Candidates should have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and possess strong communication skills • Read and understand basic statistical process control principles • Understand basic math principles • Read and understand a blueprint/prints • Use a computer to enter data and obtain data • Follow written or oral instructions • Use hand and power tools • Communicate effectively orally and in writing • Work with and around chemicals and other materials, having exposures within acceptable limits • Attention to detail Education: Two-year degree in Machine Tool Program or related field is required. The salary range for this role is: $19.80 - $22.80 Responsibilities: Job duties include safely operating all warehouse equipment and performing assigned warehouse duties to produce a labeled product that meets or exceeds the safety, quality and productivity standards. Assist in training employees on warehouse equipment, processes and procedures.
