We are on the hunt for an experience CNC machinist that is comfortable working on with CNC lathe or CNC machining centers, read and interpret drawings and blueprints and works great in a team environment. CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift - Watertown, WI

Job Description Reports To: Production Supervisor Operate one of several machines, including but not limited to CNC lathes, or CNC machining centers for production of products including shafts, wheels, pinions/gears, drums, sheaves, and related machined crane components. Principal Responsibilities: • CNC lathe, or CNC machining centers to make required machining operations • Ability to read and interpret part drawings to ensure proper dimensions of machined specifications • Notes, reports, and corrects variations in routing sequence • Keeps supervisors aware of pertinent issues, information, etc. warranting supervisors knowledge, action and/or resolution. • Ensures proper, accurate records, files, databases, etc. are maintained, as required, within areas of responsibility. • Maintain tooling. • Ensure proper inspection, i.e. first piece inspection(s) are performed and makes adjustments as required. • Perform functions in a timely, safe, and cost-effective manner. • Ensure work area is kept clean and safe. • Perform preventative maintenance. • Maintains a flexible, cooperative, team oriented, and customer focused attitude. • Other duties may be assigned. • Setup capabilities is a plus. Pay: • $25.00 - $40.00/hr. depending on experience • Shift differential Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: 5 years of machining experience required. General knowledge of tooling applications and shop practices. Possess general machinist tools and related equipment. General computer knowledge: Outlook, browsing, and basic data entry. Other Requirements: Able to work within tolerance requirements and perform visual inspection. Able to use required hand tools, precision measuring instruments, etc. Able to work from detailed drawings, blueprints, prints, work orders, etc. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, hear, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
