Job Title: CNC Machinist Job Description We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinists to join our team. Position is located in Newport News, Virginia paying $45 and $140 in per diem • *MUST HAVE LARGE PART MACHINING EXPERIENCE** Responsibilities • Operate manual and numerical control (NC) machines such as lathes, mills, horizontal & vertical machining centers, and EDMs. • Utilize controllers like Fanuc, Siemens, Acramatic, and Cincinnati-Milacron. • Use precision measuring instruments such as outside/inside micrometers, depth mics, and verniers. • Perform threading and drilling/tapping processes while adhering to various measuring/gauging requirements. • Comprehend and interpret complex mechanical drawings and blueprints. • Apply strong mathematical skills to machining tasks. Work Environment The work will be conducted in a shipyard, the largest of its kind in the world, located in Southeast Virginia. The environment is expansive, stretching over 5 miles. Conditions vary with hot and muggy summers and cool winters. Work will be performed on a Navy vessel or in a shop environment. Candidates should be willing to work any shift, as we operate a 1st shift from 7am-3:30pm, a 2nd shift from 3:30-11pm, and a 3rd shift from 11pm-7am. Job Title: CNC Operator Location: Detroit, MI, 48234 Contract Duration: contract until 09/21/2026 Working hours: 6:00AM - 4:00PM Job Description: • CNC Machine Operator • Our Machine Operators fill a vital role in the manufacturing process, as they machine the components for our products and act as the first line of defense in the quality control process. • They work as a team to produce high-quality components, catch errors, and resolve issues on the fly throughout each day. They take ownership of their work and strive to produce the very best each day. • Run the first piece and verify that it meets all of the specifications. Receive confirmation from the Department Supervisor or Quality Associate before running the batch. • Operate machine to run the batch of components, continually verifying that the produced parts meet all quality standards and specifications. * Use gauges to ensure produced components meet all specifications and requirements. • Make mechanical adjustments as necessary to keep parts within specifications • Pack finished products as instructed • Complete all needed documentation and tagging for each tub of materials. • Perform routine preventative maintenance on your machines. (Adding oils and fluids as needed, cleaning, and changing bits) • Keep a safety first mindset by following all safety rules and operating in a safe manner. • Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition. • Perform other related duties as assigned • Ability to interpret specifications and drawings, and blueprints • Knowledge of the Metric System (Microns, Millimeters, etc) • Able to use gauges to measure parts and ensure they stay within the acceptable tolerances • Basic math skills (addition and subtraction of decimal numbers) • Able to troubleshoot issues in a timely manner and know when to ask for help • Ability to work in a team environment.
