Machinist

The CNC machinist for our machining department is to support our growing activity in equipment manufacturing. The position requires the ability to operate CNC mills and lathes to machine precision parts. Responsibilities • Operate CNC Mills and Lathes. • Ability to set up work, select tooling, program and edit programs, and adjust speeds and feeds. • Machine parts & Inspect parts, verifying measurements and tolerances are to print specifications. • Routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment. • Ability to work independently while effectively coordinating work with other team members. • Ability to work on multiple projects as well as be a member of a cross functional team. • Build and maintain strong relationships with team members. Requirements: • Must know how to operate CNC Mills and Lathes, HAAS and Mazatrol Controls a plus. • Experience with G-Codes. • Blueprint reading is a requisite. • Ability to setup work, program machines, load and edit CAM programs, machine parts per prints. • Working knowledge of machinist’s charts and tables, with an understanding of the working properties of metals. • Must be able to read and use measuring devices e.g. scale, calipers and micrometers. • Capacity to operate a Forklift and Crane, training will be provided. • Adaptability to changing project requirements and schedules. • Willingness to learn and desire to contribute as part of a dynamic and productive team. • Strong communication skills, verbal and written. • Basic Computer skills. CNC Machinist

CNC Machinist (ALL SHIFTS AVALIABLE) Job Description We are seeking a skilled machinist responsible for setting up and operating CNC Haas milling machines. This position involves making custom parts per order, setting up machines with 5-15 setups per day, and making program edits using G&M codes. The machinist will also perform tooling changes, adjust machine speeds and feeds, and inspect parts using various precision instruments. Responsibilities • Set up and operate CNC Haas milling machines. • Create custom parts per order and manage multiple machine setups daily. • Perform program edits using G&M codes, CAD/CAM, or GibbsCAM. • Complete tooling changes and adjust machine speeds and feeds as needed. • Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, gauge blocks, and gauge pins. • Check parts against blueprints using shop math skills including fractions, decimals, and tape measure reading. • Utilize Mazatrol machine controls. Essential Skills • At least 2 years of CNC milling experience, preferably with Haas machines. • Proficiency in using G&M codes for machine programming. • Experience with micrometers, calipers, and gauges. • Strong shop math skills, including fractions, decimals, and measuring tape reading. • Ability to hold tight tolerances of +/- 0.0005. • Blueprint reading skills. • Capability to set up mills, complete tooling changes, adjust speeds and feeds, and edit programs. • Experience with CAD/CAM or GibbsCAM programming. • Familiarity with Mazatrol controls. • Background in job shop environments.
