Job Title: CNC Mill Machinist Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist responsible for setting up and operating CNC Haas milling machines. This role involves making custom parts per order, performing multiple machine setups daily, and making program edits using G&M codes. The position also requires completing tooling changes, adjusting machine speeds and feeds, and inspecting parts using various measurement tools. Responsibilities • Set up and operate CNC Haas milling machines • Make custom parts per order in a job shop environment • Perform 5-15 machine setups per day • Make program edits using G&M codes, and potentially CAD/CAM or GibbsCAM • Complete tooling changes and adjust machine speeds and feeds as needed • Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, gauge blocks, and gauge pins • Check every part against blueprints • Perform mathematical calculations including fractions, decimals, and reading tape measures • Operate machines with Mazatrol controls Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr. The CNC machinist for our machining department is to support our growing activity in equipment manufacturing. The position requires the ability to operate CNC mills and lathes to machine precision parts. Minimum Qualifications • Good understanding of CNC machining practices in low carbon, alloy, tool steels and other materials • Highly proficient in tooling selection for milling, drilling, tapping, reaming, and boring operations including calculating for speeds, feeds, D.O.C. to achieve the desired tolerance and finish. • Must be able to interpret and be proficient in both Metric and Inch, required for tooling, measurement, program editing and part requirements. • Ability to precisely measure and examine completed parts for defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gages, depth micrometers and other measurement tools. • Able to meet an elevated level of efficient operation utilizing technical expertise including attention to detail, interpreting written and oral instructions, drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications. • Associate’s degree or certification with concentration in machine trades or equivalent experience. • Experienced in crane operation and rigging of parts to build large setups to engineering prints. Set parts, accurately align, and position for zero pickup.
