Micron Precision Machining, a full-service machine shop, is currently seeking a Skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. We specialize in low volume precision machining, bringing our customers' designs to life with the help of our dedicated team of machinists, programmers, and quality specialists. Job Description The career level process engineer, able to work autonomously with occasional guidance from supervision. Work is performed in a centralized manufacturing engineering activity or assembly/plant activity where creativity and initiative is exercised as well as independent judgment. What You'll Do (Responsibilities): • SORs and project management for tools, stations or specific technologies. • Typically part of a larger effort or project • Manufacturing process definition • Sequence of operations • Human factors consideration • Efficient material flow • Design, construction, integration, plant installation, successful launch and continuous improvement of equipment and tools required in plants for the production of high quality parts • Providing technical direction to and oversight of outside vendor sources Work may involve development and testing of advanced process technology. Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications): • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing technologies or equivalent • 2-4 years in experience in a process engineering or manufacturing environment • Proficient oral and written communication skills • Proficient with Microsoft office products • Proficient with blueprint reading and interpretation with GD&T understanding • Proficient understanding of PFMEA, PCP, QS-Stat and quality systems • Understands and can interpret CMM and gage results and apply to correctives • Proficient understanding of machine tooling, fixtures, and workpieces. • Proficient understanding of programs in CNC machines, ability to make necessary offsets or adjustments. • Proficient understanding of cutting tool technologies • Proficient at troubleshooting setup-related issues and working closely with engineering or maintenance to resolve problems. • Flexibility to work weekends and other shifts as required
