Position Overview: · The CNC Programmer develops, refines and optimizes CNC programs using GibbsCAM, AutoCAD and AutoCAD Inventor. Generates CNC machine instructions for large, cutting edge, OEM projects. Uses analytical and problem-solving skills to read and comprehend complex blueprints, models and technical drawings to create instructions for multi-axis turning centers and vertical milling centers. Works closely with CNC machinists to develop best practices. Job Functions and Qualifications: · Develop CNC programs using GibbsCAM, AutoCAD and AutoCAD Inventor. · Able to rely on measurements, numbers and dimensions to program machines such as lathes and mills. · Read blueprints and technical drawings based on specifications to ensure accurate production. · Comprehend product design and translate it into computer modelling software. · Use measurement and math skill to ensure quality of precision projects. · Works in a team environment on output for quality assurance, processes and discard defects. · Develop strong relationships with all key functional groups such as managers, machinists and processors to ensure delivery timelines are met. · Maintain a safe and clean workstation. · Contribute team effort by accomplishing related tasks in a timely manner. · Create manufacturing work processes for improvement and quality. · Other tasks as assigned/required.
