Job title: Machine Shop Supervisor with CNC/Manual Experience Location: Norwalk, OH Shift: 1 st Salary: $25 to $30 an hour Job description: • Manage machining employees and trains new associates. • Oversees operation of machines such as lathes, grinders drilling and milling machines. • Selects appropriate machine and settings for a given task. • Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production. • Use measurement and math skills to ensure quality of precision on projects. • Creates instructions or code to properly program the machines to perform precise functions. • Works directly with scheduling to ensure delivery dates are met and plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment. • Monitors production, adjusts feed and other settings as necessary. • Maintains inventory of completed products. • Checks quality assurance and documents or discards defects. • Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs. • Communication with all department heads. • Use forklifts/overhead cranes and other lifting/moving devices to maneuver projects • Other tasks as assigned/required.
